Life, by itself is transient. Therefore so is beauty. 
In a way, what we consider beautiful, what was once considered to be beautiful by artists and paints are all temporary. But some things do not change. We do not stop to be fascinated by the world around us. We do not stop at the wonder of falling in love, the process of pining for someone to share our lives with. Similarly, the death and bloodshed of our own kind has never stopped to mortify and mystify us, either. In a very real way, all beauty is transient. But we find to be beautiful has changed very little over the length of human existence. Beauty, then, is the transience that lasts forever.
